Let's stop this unnecessary apologizing. 

We know how it goes -- you have a new job, you're acclimating to a new environment, you're trying to be diplomatic. You don't want to cause problems -- so you apologize before you even put yourself out there. 

But as the inimitable Amy Schumer recently reminded us:  

Don't apologize for kicking ass & taking names! 

You have awesome ideas, amazing contributions, and every right to take up space! 

So for August, take the pledge to speak up, ask for help and be present without excusing your right to do so:
